Marta Koremba

Marta is Co-Managing Partner, where she co-heads our Intellectual Property and Life Sciences groups. She also co-chairs the firm's International Trademarks Group. Since 2006, she has been advising clients from a variety of sectors (from life sciences and FMCG to publishing and sports) on protecting their intellectual property rights and combating unfair competition. With extensive experience in IP litigation and prosecution, including patent disputes (mainly in the pharma sector), she develops global protection strategies in the pre-trial and trial phases and prepares freedom to operate reports and invalidity/non-infringement opinions. Marta also advises on the issues of counterfeited goods, parallel imports of branded products, as well as the exhaustion of intellectual property rights. She advises on pharmaceutical advertising, retail and wholesale distribution, reimbursement and borderline products. She also co-authored the first Polish commentary on the Polish Act on Pharmaceutical Law 2009. In other areas of IP, Marta provides advice and guidance on the management of trademarks and design portfolios, representing our clients in proceedings before the Polish Patent Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office. Her practice also encompasses the infringement of intellectual property rights online, especially domain name recovery and keyword advertising. She represents our clients in proceedings before common courts as well as before the Court of Arbitration for Internet Domains at the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications.
