Marcelo Alarcón

Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Arbitration, Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy

Partner in the Litigation and Arbitration practice at Dentons Chile. His practice focuses on dispute resolution in civil and commercial matters, including administrative litigation, insolvency proceedings, and consumer law. He has extensive experience handling cases before ordinary, special, and arbitral courts, both nationally and internationally, representing companies in contractual and tort disputes related to construction, supply, energy, corporate conflicts, antitrust, and consumer relations, among other areas; acting both as counsel and as arbitrator.

He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses at the university and is currently a professor of Procedural Law at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.

He is a founding member of the Chilean chapter of ENERAP (Energy Related Arbitration Practitioners), and a member of the Rising Arbitrators Initiative, Red Procesal and Club Español e Iberoamericano de Arbitraje (CEIA). He is also a member of the Chilean Bar Association.

He is an enlistee of the list of Young Arbitrators of CAM Santiago, and of the list of arbitrators of the Court of Appeals of Santiago, Court of Appeals of San Miguel and Court of Appeals of Valparaíso.
