Career

Carolina is a partner co-leading the Intellectual Property, Technology, and Privacy group in Dentons’ Santiago office.

She has more than 25 years of experience in Intellectual Property in prosecution, litigation, regulation, e-commerce, TMT, privacy, and data protection, leading the strategies of domestic and foreign clients in Chile, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

Her practice focuses on advising on compliance, regulatory, and licensing in the software, retail, pharma, food, and entertainment industries, among others. She also provides data processing privacy services to clients in various industries locally and internationally.

Carolina designs strategies for global patent protection and licensing of patents for Chilean companies, R&D centres, universities, and startups.

Likewise, she has led activities to achieve greater cooperation between different organizations linked to innovation, such as private companies, universities, and the public sector.

She has also been a frequent speaker at international seminars and workshops, including APAA, ACI, and several clients.

She is recognized in Intellectual Property by several international rankings, such as Chambers & Partners, The Legal 500, Latin Lawyer 250, and World Trademark Review, among others.
