Career
José Manuel Larraín is the managing partner of Dentons' Santiago office. He leads the Infrastructure Public and Private Projects group and co-leads the Corporate/M&A group. He is also the Dentons Latin America and The Caribbean Transportation and Infrastructure group co-leader.
He has extensive experience in M&A, permanently counselling foreign companies in this matter, finance, and tax structuring, and corporate restructuring.
He has led PPP and BOT projects for public and private sectors in Chile, advising bidders in concession projects, such as toll roads, ports, bridges, tunnels, hospitals, and prisons. He provides assistance on M&A processes, corporate, contractual, financial, and dispute resolution matters.
José Manuel has led and acted in pioneering projects. Among them, the first concessions of urban freeways in Santiago de Chile under a "free flow" model and electronic toll collection process, working for Autopista Central S.A. (ACS group and Skanska group); and also, with Vespucio Norte S.A. and San Cristóbal S.A. Tunnel, leading the legal advising of both companies in every stage of their projects, and as Chilean legal counsel of the group sponsors ACS S.A. (ACS and Hochtief).
