Career

Louie works closely with energy investors, manufacturers, operators, service companies, and refiners on a variety of operational issues and disputes arising from energy production, transportation, and refining. He regularly provides advice regarding shale investment and operations across US basins, including disputes related to oil and gas leases, title, royalty and surface disputes, joint operating and joint venture agreements, environmental and class action disputes, insurance coverage and recovery, and restructuring litigation.

Since 2015, Louie has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer-Rising Star (Thomson Reuters).

Before joining Baker Botts, Louie clerked for the Honorable Jay C. Zainey (Eastern District of Louisiana)
