Lisa Berg has more than 30 years of experience representing employers in all areas of labor and employment law and focuses on litigation avoidance. She has extensive experience advising employers on day-to-day employment issues, including: accommodation of disabilities; pregnancy, childbirth, and related medical conditions; family and medical leave; artificial intelligence; reductions-in-force; employee discipline, evaluation and discharge; drug testing; unlawful harassment; and workplace privacy. Additionally, she conducts confidential investigations and audits, drafts employee handbooks/policies, negotiates independent contractor, severance, and employment agreements, and provides management and employee training on a variety of employment topics. Lisa appears before the EEOC and state and local EEO agencies to handle charges or complaints of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Lisa also has considerable expertise in all areas of traditional labor law, including preventative labor relations programs and managing employer responses to union campaigns, collective bargaining, and handling of unfair labor practice charges and trainings to avoid charges and lawsuits.
