• Successfully defending the client in reported high value High Court Litigation Burns V (1) Bridge & (2) Property Funding limited [2024] EWHC 2620 (CH)
• Acting for UK Oil & Gas Plc in ground breaking and heavily contested 5 day High Court anti-protest injunction to protect onshore drilling sites (UKOG -v- Persons Unknown [2018] EWHC 2252 (Ch)).
• Acting for Signature Group in 5 day s.84 LPA 1925 hearing in Upper Tribunal for variation of restrictive covenants to develop care home (Signature of St Albans (Property) Guernsey Ltd -v- Wragg [2019] UKUT 70 (LC) and in previous High Court proceedings for declaratory relief [2018] 2 W.L.R. 943
• Acting for A&P Shipyard and Mersey Docks & Harbour Company in Re Falmouth Dockyard [2017] UKUT 430 (LC) (acting for the owner of a commercial/military shipyard resisting by an application by superyacht boat builder under s.84 LPA 1925 to modify covenants affecting a “wet dock”).
• Acting for Greene King in four day trial concerning dispute over whether a right recorded in the Land Registry register as an easement was in fact an easement (Starham -v- Greene King [2017] 9 WLUK 422) and in 2019 subsequently recovering in excess of £1.2m from Land Registry under the statutory indemnity (one of the highest ever recovered)
• Recovering US $14 million from US tenant in action for specific performance, following arbitration and High Court enforcement proceedings
• Acting for tenant in leading case concerning GRP roof lights (Twinmar Holdings -v- Klarius UK (2013 2 P&CR 6))
• Acting for the developer in Renewal Leeds Limited -v- Lowry Properties Limited (2010) EWHC 2902 on terms implied to give effect to an overage payment
