Kenda Shaheen

Kenda Shaheen (She/Her/Hers) is a partner in the Corporate group of Dentons’ Toronto office. She specializes in corporate law with a focus on private mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions. Kenda draws from extensive experience collaborating with clients in the venture technology space, both on the company and investor side. Kenda frequently advises emerging and high growth companies across diverse industries on each stage of their corporate lifecycle, from incorporation to exit, including equity and debt financing and day-to-day corporate matters. She also works closely with venture capital funds and strategic investors on investments into portfolio companies.

After articling with Dentons’ Toronto office, Kenda joined the Dentons corporate group in Dubai, where she played a key role advising on various corporate and commercial transactions, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and company set ups and structures for both local and international clients.

Kenda is head of Dentons’ Toronto Student Committee that works to further the Firm’s goal of identifying and retaining exceptional talent.
