Karolina is a partner and head of Employment team at Bird & Bird's Warsaw office. She is an experienced employment law expert specialised in litigation, including civil and criminal cases involving corruption and trade secrets. Since 2005, she has advised clients on the full spectrum of employment law cases, including complex restructuring processes involving M&A, employee transfers (ARD/TUPE) and collective redundancies. Karolina is passionate about compliance and helps our clients in implementing codes of conduct, whistle-blowing polices and anti-corruption procedures. Her practice also includes the development of client training in this field. With extensive training and experience in IP, she supports our clients in developing internal policies and strategies to protect trade secrets and combat unfair competition, including reviewing internal corporate documentation and technical measures, and drafting non-disclosure and non-compete agreements. Over the years, she has represented domestic and international corporations in internal investigations relating to unfair practices at all levels of their organisations, covering domestic and international standards including the Polish Act on Combating Unfair Competition. As a consequence, Karolina has supported our clients in planning and running proceedings against their employees or business partners, in civil, labour and criminal cases. She supports our clients in difficult termination cases, including employee frauds and other misconduct.
