José Valentín González specialises in constitutional, administrative, criminal, pharmaceutical, IP and white-collar crime law, as well as in regulatory and telecom matters. José Valentín has extensive experience in administrative cases and with the pharmaceutical industry. Among others, José Valentín represented Corporación Digitel, a subsidiary de Telecom Italia Mobile (TIM) in the defence of its trademark Llámame® against Movistar (Telefónica), Pfizer in the defence of the patent of Lipitor® before the Andean Supreme Tribunal and Venezuelan authorities and RCTV in several actions in connection with the renewal of its television licence. He received his law degree from Andrés Bello Catholic University in 1990. He was a professor of Venezuelan electoral law (1993), constitutional reform (1995–1996) and administrative law (1995–1997, 1999) at Andrés Bello.
