José Humberto Frías

José Humberto Frías represents clients in arbitral proceedings, both domestic and international, and of investment and commercial disputes. He also specialises in antitrust, regulatory and public law. He has participated in many of the most significant competition/antitrust cases in Venezuela and has represented international and Venezuelan clients in arbitrations in several arbitral institutions, including the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). Before joining D’Empaire, he worked with the Venezuelan antitrust authority. José Humberto worked as a foreign associate at the New York office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in 2001. José Humberto received his law degree from Andrés Bello Catholic University in 1993 and received an LLM from McGill University, Montreal in 2000.
