John H Beisner

Head of Skadden’s Mass Torts, Insurance and Consumer Litigation Group. Focuses on the defense of purported class actions, mass torts and other complex civil litigation in both federal and state courts. Regularly handles appellate litigations and has appeared in matters before the U.S. Supreme Court. Has defended major U.S. and international corporations in more than 600 purported class actions filed in federal courts and in the courts of 40 states at both trial and appellate levels. Has appeared in more than 40 multidistrict litigation proceedings, usually as lead defense counsel. Has advised on numerous high-visibility corporate crisis situations. Regularly writes on litigation strategy issues and testifies at legislative hearings in support of litigation reform initiatives.
