Ryne Posey advises clients across a broad range of industries on the full spectrum of labor and employment matters. His unique and synergistic practice includes a variety of high-stakes compliance and counseling, litigation and alternative dispute resolution, and transactional matters.

Mr. Posey’s regular compliance and counseling work includes advising on executives hires and separations; conducting workplace investigations; preventing unfair competition and trade secret misappropriation; domestic and global pay equity reviews; worker classification; planning and implementing reductions in force; and developing, implementing and enforcing personnel policies and procedures.

In addition, Mr. Posey represents clients in litigation and alternative dispute resolution matters concerning unfair competition and trade secret misappropriation claims; breach of contract claims; unlawful discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims; and wage and hour class, collective and representative actions.

Mr. Posey also has extensive experience advising clients on the labor and employment aspects of business transactions. He regularly advises on complex domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, including managing multi-jurisdictional labor and employment teams; counseling on employee privacy matters; conducting due diligence; negotiating employee liability allocation and other economic terms; drafting and negotiating employment-related provisions in purchase and ancillary agreements; and advising on employee communications and integration planning. Mr. Posey also negotiates and drafts executive employment agreements, consulting agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, arbitration agreements, severance agreements, and other employment-related agreements.

The Daily Journal honored Mr. Posey as one of its Top Labor and Employment Lawyers in 2025.
