Jessica Jakubowski is an associate in the Real Estate group at Dentons. Jessica specializes in the areas of municipal, land use planning and development law, and expropriations.
Prior to joining Dentons, Jessica worked as a lawyer for the City of Toronto in the Planning and Administrative Tribunal division. While at the City, Jessica was involved in various land use planning and development matters, including official plan, rezoning, severance and minor variance appeals, as well as expropriations. Jessica has appeared before the Ontario Land Tribunal, the Toronto Local Appeal Body and the Licence Appeal Tribunal.
Jessica completed her articles at the Regional Municipality of Halton, the Town of Oakville and Halton’s Regional Police Service. While in law school, Jessica was a research associate with the Windsor Law Centre for Cities where she provided direct legal research assistance to municipalities and other stakeholders working towards local climate mitigation action. Jessica also served as the President of Windsor’s Municipal and Planning Law Association, where she organized events related to local issues impacting Windsor and its cross-border city, Detroit.
