Javier Carmona Fernández

Legal defense and counsel in civil and corporate/commercial litigation before jurisdictional bodies and arbitration courts (on both domestic and international cases).

He specializes in defense and case management in high-profile civil (mainly real estate and construction law) and corporate litigation: obligations and contracts, extra-contractual liability, torts, directors liability, SHAs and SPAs disputes, financial litigation, unfair competition, enforcement proceedings and exequatur of foreign judgments, among others.

He has extensive experience in complex pre-litigation negotiations.

Degree in Law, Universidad de Granada (Spain) in 2001. Foreign Law studies at Trinity College of Dublin (Ireland) in 2000. Master in Law, Instituto de Derecho y Economía (ISDE), Barcelona (Spain), in 2002. Joined Garrigues in 2002. Partner since 2016.
