James Mazza

Mr. Mazza represents debtors, lenders, creditors, asset purchasers, plan sponsors and private equity investors in domestic and cross-border corporate restructuring transactions, both in and out-of-court, involving clients’ interests across the globe, including significant experience in Latin America. His experience extends to a wide variety of industries, including automotive, airlines, energy, financial services, health care, gaming, real estate and retail. Mr. Mazza also regularly advises companies’ management and boards of directors regarding fiduciary duty issues in financially distressed situations. Notable company-side representations include SunEdison, Unifin Financiera, TridentUSA Health Services, Exide and Visteon.

Mr. Mazza has been named repeatedly to The Best Lawyers in America and IFLR1000, where he is listed as Highly Regarded, and was recognized by Lawdragon as part of its 2023 list of the 500 Leading Bankruptcy & Restructuring Lawyers.
