In 2023 Sommer v Swiss Re, representing the Claimant resulting in £1.3m award.

Successfully representing a team of consultant orthopedic surgeons in claims against their trust.

Employment: lead before the Supreme Court in Royal Mail Ltd v Jhuti [2019] UKSC 55 an important whistleblowing case, and before the EAT in UKEAT/0131/19/00, previously appearing before CA [2017] EWCA Civ 1632.

Badara v Pulse Healthcare Ltd UKEAT/0210/18/BA the immigration status of a worker.

Jack is instructed in banking cases (including start-up/disruptive/fintech), specifically regarding whistleblowing.

Extensive experience successfully bringing and defending interim relief applications.

Ali v New College Manchester Ltd UKEAT/0154/16/DM, 27 February 2017 representing the successful respondent addressing constructive knowledge in disability discrimination.

Agbenowossi-Koffi v Donvand Ltd (t/a Gullivers Travel Associates) [2014] EWCA Civ 855, CA, Jack represented the Respondent from Tribunal through to the CA, succeeding at every stage, applying res judicata.

Industrial action and injunctions: in British Airways v British Air Line Pilots’ Association before the HC [2019] EWHC 2302 (QB) and CA [2020] IRLR 43. Pilots entitledment to take industrial action.

Sport: Jack conducts internal investigations. AVFC historical safeguarding matters (August 2019); Premier League club (summer 2018 – confidential). Advising, for example an international manager on discrimination, termination of contract and a successful mediation.

Representing departing staff, instructed as Junior defending various High Court injunctions, including Springboard (settled).

Nominated by C&P as Employment Junior (2014) Jack continues to be instructed in important and ground-breaking cases.
