J. Christian Nahr

J. Christian Nahr advises private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, corporations, hedge and debt funds, and investment banks on a broad range of complex cross-border and domestic leveraged finance transactions.

Drawing on more than 20 years of experience, Mr. Nahr represents financial sponsors in both acquisition financings and financings for their portfolio companies, developing practical and innovative solutions in connection with many of their most significant matters. He skillfully navigates transactions involving dividend recapitalizations, restructurings, hybrid structures, private credit and direct lending. He represents clients across many industries, but has particularly significant experience in technology-focused matters, including those involving SaaS businesses.

Prior to joining Skadden, Mr. Nahr was head of the global finance practice at another global law firm.

Mr. Nahr has been repeatedly recognized in Chambers Global, Chambers USA, The Legal 500 and IFLR1000 for his banking and finance work, in addition to being named one of Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Dealmakers in America.
