Izabela is a partner (AI and Cyber) and head of the Privacy and Data Protection team at Bird & Bird's Warsaw office. She joined the firm in 2010 as a junior associate and successfully progressed to partner in 2018. Today, she leads one of the largest data protection and tech regulatory teams in the Polish market that serves clients on global projects across multiple jurisdictions. She is a business-minded expert with extensive experience in privacy & data protection, non-personal data, cyber, AI, and digital governance. She is passionate about technology, and her professional expertise is strongly related to this area. She effectively advises clients on designing marketing services, adtech, (retargeting, programmatics, look alike retargeting, Pay or Consent models), recruitment processes, AI and cloud service, i.a. for the insurance, fintech and pharmaceutical sectors. She also supports both Polish and international clients in creating a thoughtful and pragmatic data protection strategy and assist clients through data leak crisis situations, representing them during audits and in proceedings before the Data Protection Authority and the courts. Izabela coordinates international projects that require analysing data protection laws of both EU and non-EU countries. She is highly appreciated by her clients, which is reflected in all of the key international industry rankings (Leading individual in The Legal 500 EMEA, Band 2 in Chambers Europe, and individual recognition in Who’s Who Legal EMEA.
