Career

Fernando is the Head of IP Transactions and Partner of the Information, Communication & Technology practice. With a Law degree and three years of a Mechanical Engineering degree, he has been involved in IT,outsourcing, emerging technologies, cloud computing, big data, IoT, e-commerce, electronic communications, postal services,privacy, advertising and media matters. Active also in Entrepreneurship,Intellectual Property, Corporate and Commercial Law. He also provides assistance to R&D centers,start-ups and universities in respect to the commercialisation of innovative solutions and products, providing advice in technology and business and contractual models.

Lecturer at ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics and Management and at Porto Business School, in the postgraduate courses “Foresight, Strategy and Innovation” and “IT Management”.

Portuguese Bar Association.

Fernando provides regular assistance to and is member of several associations: DSPA – Data Science Portuguese Association, APDC (Digital Business Community), ACEPI (Digital Economy Association), APDSI (Promotion and Development of the Information Society) and itSMF-IT Service Management Forum.

Publications

Author of several publications, he was the main responsible and one of the authors of the book “Cloud – The Law and practice / Guide and FAQ’s” in partnership with Microsoft Portugal.
