Don’s corporate acumen and history of leading billion-dollar transactions make him a trusted advisor for high-stakes corporate and securities matters for public and private entities.

Don brings extensive experience in corporate and securities matters, representing a diverse range of public and private companies in a variety of domestic and international transactions, including stock sales, asset sales, spin-offs, and mergers. He counsels investors and issuers in private equity, venture-stage, and growth companies, especially with respect to corporate governance and securities law disclosure and filing requirements. Don also represents the family offices of many of the most prominent families in Texas in their investments, financings, operations, and multi-generational planning.

Personal

Don is active in numerous civic and charitable organizations and is a recipient of the Justinian Award from the Dallas Bar Association, which recognizes an attorney who has “actively demonstrated a long-standing dedication to volunteer service in the Dallas community.” He has received numerous honors for his service in his core areas of civic focus: human rights; social justice and community enhancement; public health; education; the environment; and the arts.
