Dirk-Jan Gondrie MRE is a partner in Dentons' Amsterdam office and Head of the Real Estate practice in the Netherlands. He also serves as Head of the Firm’s Europe Real Estate group.
Dirk-Jan advises leading international and Dutch institutional investors and developers on matters related to logistics and data centers as well as residential, office, retail and hotel projects. He has extensive experience with real estate transactions involving acquisitions and disposals of both single assets and portfolios in the Netherlands and across multi-jurisdictional structures. His practice also encompasses property development, leasing, asset management and real estate-related restructuring.
In addition to his legal work, Dirk-Jan is a committed educator and lecturer at the Amsterdam School of Real Estate (ASRE), where he supports professionals working toward their Masters of Real Estate degree (MRE).

Work Highlights
Schroders Capital: Advising on multiple acquisitions, including a sustainable business facility in Kerkrade developed for Ranpak, acquired from Boelens de Gruyter and Globitas, and the VDG Warehouse Zwolle acquired from VDG Real Estate on behalf of Schroders’ Real Estate Gateway Fund.
CBRE Investment Management: Advising on several transactions, including the sale to NSI of the Sypesteyn office building in Jaarbeursplein, Utrecht’s largest city square, as well as the sale of a prime retail asset to a private investor.
Savills Investment Management: Advising on several acquisitions, including the Rapid Logistics distribution center in Schiphol Trade Park, in an off-market deal for a German pension fund, as well as the Geminus logistics portfolio from CBRE Global Investors, comprising two distribution centers in Wijchen and ’s-Heerenberg (approx. 45,000 sq.m. of gross leasable area).
Hines: Advising on numerous logistics investment and financing transactions across the Netherlands, including: the acquisition of six fully let assets in the Randstad, a cross-border sale and leaseback of a three-asset portfolio in the Netherlands and Spain (together with Dentons Madrid office), the acquisition of a 38,000 sq.m. logistics complex in Mijdrecht, and the refinancing of key distribution centers in Poeldijk and Venlo.
Cerberus Capital Management and Arrow Capital Partners: Advising the SIRE JV on the acquisition of a 20,000 sq.m. fully let warehouse in Breda from Breevast.
P3 Logistic Parks: Advising on the forward-funding acquisition of a distribution center in Herkenbosch from Solidiam.
Palmira Capital Partners: Advising on the sale and leaseback acquisition of a 15,000+ sq.m. modern production facility from Kaak Holding B.V.
DSV: Advising on the sale and leaseback of a logistics property in Maastricht to Garbe.
Delin Property: Advising on the acquisition of a warehouse in the Arnhem–Nijmegen region from DEKA Immobilien, acting for Delin’s Dutch Core/Core Plus Logistics Fund.
Pertinea Property Partners: Advising on the acquisition of two shopping centers through the RE-tail Return Partners II investment vehicle.
Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC): Advising on the acquisition of the landmark Five55 office building in Rotterdam’s Central Business District from Edge. MSC had been the building’s anchor tenant since 2020. The transaction was one of the year’s largest single-asset office deals.
TTY Management: Advising a private investment company on the €100 million acquisition from Vastned of Rokin Plaza, a multi-tenant retail complex in Amsterdam city center, let to UNIQLO and Pull & Bear.
