Diego Durán is a counsel at FERRERE and a member of the Real Estate team. Since joining the firm in 2008 he has specialized in advice to agribusinesses and structuring real estate ventures. He has broad experience in complex inheritance law matters.

He has participated in land purchase and sale transactions and in Uruguay’s most important real estate projects. He has also collaborated actively on due diligence procedures for corporate mergers and acquisitions, especially in the energy sector.

Outstanding among the different projects has been his advice on different real estate and regulatory aspects for Google on setting up in Uruguay, his support to the Platinum financial trust on developing and building the “Cosmos” mixed-use complex in Montevideo, his participation on the structuring of various condominium development projects (gated communities), and advice to different foreign funds and forestry companies.He also has significant experience in complex matters of succession law and family planning.
