As partner and head of the Banking, Finance and Capital Markets team of the Budapest office, Csongor specialises in banking, finance and capital markets transactions, offering considerable experience in M&A, bankruptcy and restructuring, as well as energy projects and general corporate and commercial law.

With almost 20 years of experience, he has represented numerous Hungarian and international financial institutions, as well as borrower companies, in various project finance and syndicated lending transactions, cross-border transactions, mostly in corporate financings and in the energy and real estate sectors.

He spent secondment at IBM in the legal department responsible for CEMA countries (Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa) in Vienna and also spent one year at UniCredit Bank (London Branch) in London at the Loan Syndication and LBO desk, and nine months at CIB Bank Budapest (Intesa Sanpaolo S.p.A.).

His track record in corporate and M&A matters includes complex corporate restructurings in numerous sectors, and mergers in banking and other industries, as well as advising on large M&A transactions in Hungary.
