With over 25 years of experience in the energy sector, Partner Claudiu Munteanu-Jipescu leads Dentons’ Energy practice in Bucharest. His work spans the full spectrum of energy projects, from conventional sources, including nuclear, to renewable energy developments such as wind, solar, and, more recently, battery energy storage systems (BESS), as well as oil and gas.
He has been instrumental in building a strong energy regulatory practice, advising companies on navigating an increasingly complex regulatory landscape shaped by the energy transition, security of supply considerations, and climate policy objectives.
Claudiu also has significant experience in public-private partnerships (PPP), public procurement, and concessions. He has been involved in numerous privatization projects, working closely with Romanian public authorities.
