Clara Porro is a specialist in corporate and M&A and has unrivalled experience advising local and international clients.

She has 10+ years of experience and has been involved as part of the leader teams in several of the most important transactions carried out in Uruguay in the last years. In this context, Clara Porro has participated in numerous high-profile investment projects, as well as local and international mergers and acquisitions, leading the team in FERRERE or working with other foreign legal firms.

In addition to the M&A projects, she regularly advices many of the most renowned local and international companies on their strategic and corporate matters.

Clara Porro has also participated in government procurement projects, advising foreign companies planning to invest in Uruguay in public-private partnerships, as well as on public tenders.

Professor of Commercial Contracts at the Universidad de Montevideo since 2017.

She recently participating in the following deals:

- Acquisition by Diagnósticos da América of Genia – Genética Molecular;

- Kingspan on the acquisition of two local insulated panels producers: Bromyros and Montfrío;

- Globant on the acquisition of Genexus acting as lead counsel in the context of a transaction involving multiple jurisdictions;

- Emergent Cold on the acquisition of two cold storages facility in Uruguay;

- Sale of the majority of Marfrig’s plants in Uruguay to Minerva;

- Sale of the largest meatpacking plant in Uruguay owned by Japanese Nipponham to Minerva;

- Acquisition of Totalnet by Minsait Payments (Indra).
