Practice Areas
Carrie Mahan is one of the country’s foremost antitrust litigators, corporate counselors, and risk advisors. She advises global companies on antitrust and consumer protection issues in both the government investigations and private litigation contexts, as well as in connection with corporate transactions. Her clients value her pragmatic advice and creativity informed by decades of experience navigating them through crisis situations. In court, Carrie leads clients’ defense and overall strategy, particularly as part of joint defense groups, owing to her proven ability to counter complex antitrust theories in some of the largest class actions and multi-jurisdictional cases ever litigated, including seminal cases in the poultry, hospitality, and private equity sectors. Carrie also works closely with clients to secure approvals of proposed transactions from the DOJ and the FTC, as well as favorably and confidentially resolve non-public FTC investigations. She also represents clients in criminal investigations before the DOJ Antitrust Division, including a recent grand jury investigation involving the media industry.
