Brian has practiced management labor and employment law for more than 30 years, with extensive experience representing public and private employers with local, national and multinational operations and a practice focused on federal contractor defense and compliance; corporate employment counseling and risk management; and governmental investigations and claim defense. Brian defends clients in affirmative action systemic discrimination enforcement claims, audits, and complaint investigations throughout the country. He regularly works on preparing affirmative action plans and counseling clients regarding applicant tracking and selection system design, diversity initiatives, compensation analyses, pre-employment testing, and federal record keeping requirements. Brian also frequently lectures and provides training on discrimination law, hiring and firing employees, sexual harassment, workplace violence, FLSA compliance, and employee privacy.
Brian received his undergraduate (B.A., 1987) and law (J.D., 1990) degrees from the University of Virginia, both with honors, including Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society, Order of the Coif, and the Earle K. Shawe Labor Relations Award.
