Kirk Pasich is a partner in the Los Angeles - Century City office of McGuireWoods LLP. He conducts an active trial and appellate practice, representing insureds in complex insurance coverage matters. He has helped his clients recover more than $10 billion from insurers and insurance brokers.
Kirk represents clients in all industries in a wide range of matters, including CGL, D&O, E&O, fidelity, and property and business interruption. He also is active in insurance recovery in the entertainment and sports industries. In fact, because of his work in those industries, LawDragon calls him the entertainment industry’s “insurance guru.” Variety also has named him in its “Impact Report” as one of the nation's 50 leading entertainment lawyers, while Hollywood Reporter has named him as one of the industry's “Power Lawyers.”
Kirk is the author of more than 500 articles on insurance and the author, co-author, and editor of several books, including Casualty and Liability Insurance; the American Bar Association’s Complex Insurance Coverage Litigation Handbook; Entertainment Law and Litigation; and the New Appleman Sports and Entertainment Insurance Law & Practice Guide.
Kirk also is the co-founder of Blue Élan Records, which Forbes has called “the most artist friendly label in the music business.” He has served on the board of directors of several charities and as a member of the UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame Committee. Kirk is an avid runner, having completed 14 marathons and more than 75 half-marathons. He also works with UCLA's Women's Basketball.
