Brad Howard

Brad Howard advises alternative asset managers, hedge fund sponsors, and institutional investors on the formation, structuring, operation, and strategic development of private investment funds, managed accounts and customized investment platforms.

His practice spans hedge funds, managed accounts, hybrid structures, and related investment vehicles, with a particular focus on fund structuring, sponsor governance, regulatory compliance, and operational matters arising under the federal securities and commodities laws. Brad regularly counsels clients on SEC and CFTC regulatory issues, adviser compliance obligations, and evolving market and regulatory developments affecting private fund managers.

Brad represents both sponsors and institutional investors/asset allocators in connection with fund investments, managed accounts, and bespoke investment arrangements.

He also advises clients on strategic transactions involving asset managers, including mergers and acquisitions, minority investments, seed arrangements, and other manager-related transactions. In addition, he counsels clients on fund-level and management-company financing arrangements, including leverage and liquidity facilities.
