BART BIGGERS is co-leader of Sidley’s global Aviation and Airlines practice and an internationally recognized advisor on transportation and infrastructure matters. For 25 years, Bart has advised airlines, investors, and other industry participants on mergers and acquisitions, commercial and cross-border transactions, outsourcing, workouts and restructurings, corporate finance, and corporate governance matters. He has led transformative transactions for some of the largest airlines in the industry.

Bart’s deep understanding of the aviation and airline sector has made him a prominent aviation attorney and trusted strategic advisor to leading industry participants. He served as counsel to American Airlines during its Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization, helping guide the company through the assumption, rejection, or renegotiation of more than 50,000 agreements. Bart has also advised clients through complex mergers, including some of the world's largest.
