Anna Pukszto is a partner with Dentons. She heads both the Dispute Resolution practice group and the Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy practice group in Poland.
Anna is a renowned expert in restructuring and insolvency, with extensive experience in managing cross-border bankruptcies and distressed asset acquisitions. She is also a seasoned litigator specializing in the financial services sector. Her client portfolio includes leading financial institutions and key players in the retail, manufacturing, real estate, infrastructure, energy, automotive, and TMT sectors.
She was a World Bank consultant in a project involving the assessments of the Polish Bankruptcy and Rehabilitation Law and the instruments serving to protect creditors’ rights under Polish law.
In her litigation practice, Anna focuses on cases involving financial institutions. She represents financial institutions in class action proceedings and disputes regarding the liability of investment fund companies, custodians, lenders, the validity of banking and investment products, including unit-linked life insurance policies, derivatives and sophisticated debt recovery proceedings. She has represented clients before the Supreme Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union.
In her arbitration practice, she has been involved in numerous high-profile disputes concerning foreign investments in Poland, including disputes under LCIA, ICC and VIAC rules and in related post-arbitration proceedings.
