Dr. Andreas Berberich is a partner in Dentons' Munich office and a member of the Tax Practice Group. He focuses on tax advice in connection with mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, asset finance and tax compliance-related issues. He advises also on VAT and employment taxation matters. Andreas has extensive experience in the insurance and financial institutions sector (where he in particular advises international M&A insurers and insureds in connection with W&I-insurances and contingent tax liability insurances) as well as in the real estate, energy and transport sector. He also represents clients in connection with tax audits and tax court proceedings.

• Vonovia SE: Advising on the sale of a portfolio of Berlin housing stock (total volume of 14,750 apartments, Vonovia's portfolio 4,250 apartments) to municipal housing companies of the state of Berlin.
• Castleforge Partners Limited: Advising on the acquisition of the first office building in Germany in Bremen's Old Town to establish an office and shared workspaces platform (market entry in Germany).
• Aves One: Advising Aves One AG and several subsidiaries on the sale of their entire maritime container portfolio to a fund managed by the investment company Oak Hill Advisors.
• ACHATZ GmbH: Advising the ACHATZ -group in connection with the sale of the TERRAS Tiefbau-group.
• Bia Vest: Tax advice including tax structure paper and SPA negotiations for the purchase of a German portfolio in the food industry consisting of 3 companies (inter alia Riesa Nudeln). The transaction marks the entry of the Irish special investment company BiaVest in the German food market.
• ACCUMULATA Real Estate Group GmbH: Advising on the acquisition of a light industrial property in Ottobrunn, Bavaria.
• Leading international insurances: Advising leading international insurances on tax aspects of various M&A Warranty & Indemnity- and tax liability-insurance projects (underwriting process as well as claims handling processes).
• Confidential client: Advising a leading German listed company on the conclusion of a contingent tax risk insurance.
• Leading international airline: Advising a leading international airline on German tax aspects in connection with the acquisition of three A321-200 Airbus aircraft.
