Dr. Peter Braun is a Partner at Dentons and Co-Head of Public Procurement Europe. He advises national and international companies comprehensively on public procurement law and compliance matters.

Drawing on his experience from tender procedures with an aggregate volume exceeding EUR 25 billion, Dr. Braun develops practical and robust strategies to support companies in successfully participating in public procurement procedures. His expertise includes complex procurement procedures of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr), OCCAR programmes, NATO procurements, as well as sophisticated cross-border procurement projects.

In addition, he advises public contracting authorities – including federal authorities and municipalities – on legally and strategically demanding procurement procedures, in particular in the IT and infrastructure sectors and with respect to partnership models. He regularly represents clients before German procurement review bodies.

He is the author of numerous specialist publications and a sought-after speaker at national and international conferences. He also has particular expertise in proceedings before the World Bank Sanctions Board and in compliance matters involving international financial institutions (including the EBRD, EIB and the EU), covering debarment prevention, self-cleaning measures and the structured disclosure of misconduct.
