Amanda N. Persaud is a partner in Ropes & Gray’s asset management practice in New York. She has led numerous fund raises for prominent U.S. and international sponsors of private investment funds. Her practice focuses on the formation, fund raising and operation of private funds, including private equity funds, credit funds, real estate funds, hedge funds and other alternative asset classes such as special situations and hybrid funds.
She regularly advises on a wide range of governance, operational and regulatory matters affecting sponsor clients. She has significant experience advising sponsor clients in restructuring and recapitalizing private investment funds as well as assisting them with internal compensation and management arrangements.
Amanda’s work in asset management M&A includes negotiating and structuring spin-outs of, strategic investments in, and sales of, alternative asset management businesses.
Amanda has authored numerous publications and speaks extensively at industry conferences on a range of topics affecting private investment funds and their sponsors. She is also member of the New York City Bar Association’s Private Investment Funds Committee and the Private Investment Funds Forum based in NYC.
