Allan M. Soobert is a first-chair litigator who focuses on patent and trade secret litigation. He represents industry leaders and major technology companies in their most-significant intellectual property cases and has successfully handled numerous high-profile disputes. He has extensive experience in all phases of complex litigation, having litigated cases before trial and appellate courts across the United States as well as before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) and U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).

Among his achievements, Allan was counsel for eBay in the landmark eBay v. MercExchange case, representing eBay from initial filing in the district court though its victory in the U.S. Supreme Court. The Supreme Court’s ruling favorably changed the standard for injunctive relief in all patent cases.

Allan has been repeatedly recognized as a leading IP litigator by Chambers USA, Legal 500, IP Stars, IAM Patent 1000, Lawdragon and Super Lawyers, among others. In these publications, clients have commended him as:

“A creative thinker” with a “talent for handling the most complex IP disputes.”
