Provided by Adriana Mierzwa-Bronikowska
Adriana Mierzwa-Bronikowska is a partner in Dentons' Warsaw office and Head of the Projects and Infrastructure practice.
For over 25 years, Adriana has been a trusted advisor to investors from both the private and public sectors, contractors, subcontractors, and financial institutions involved in some of the largest and most complex infrastructure projects in Poland. Her experience covers the entire lifecycle of projects – from pre-implementation analyses, through negotiating project agreements and securing financing, to the implementation stage.
Adriana assists clients with drafting and negotiating project contracts (including EPC, O&M, and key supply agreements), securing financing, including EU funding, obtaining regulatory approvals, and managing contract changes during project execution. Her experience includes providing legal support to major players in the Polish infrastructure market, such as Gülermak, Saur, Deme Concessions, Q Terminals, Hutchison, Engie, Adamed, Polenergia, Frontex, CPK, Mota Engil, Mirbud, and the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways. For many years, she has been involved in landmark projects such as the construction of the A1 and A2 motorways, container ports in Gdynia and Świnoujście, the new Frontex headquarters, the Central Communication Port (CPK), hydrogen production facilities, waste-to-energy plants, wastewater treatment plants, and renewable energy installations, including PV, onshore, and offshore. Adriana is engaged in projects carried out both in Poland and other jurisdictions.
What sets Adriana apart is her broad, cross-sector experience. She has advised on projects in the transport sector (railways, roads, airports, and ports), energy, water and sewage, district heating, residential and public utility construction (halls, congress centers, stadiums), as well as in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors (hospitals).
For years, Adriana has actively supported the development of the market by participating in the legislative process and co-authoring government PPP and EPC (energy efficiency) guidelines. She is also a member of the government PPP expert group at the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy.
