Campos / Arbitraje e Infraestructura (CAI) is a boutique law firm dedicated to arbitration and infraestructure, that combines deep expertise in construction law, public procurement, and dispute resolution -arbitration and dispute boards- with strategic insight into the dynamics that shape major infrastructure projects across Latin America.
Our purpose is clear: to help infrastructure projects succeed—legally, contractually, and commercially. We advise companies and institutions at every stage of the project lifecycle, from contract structuring and risk allocation to claims management. If disputes become impossible to avoid, we provide sophisticated representation in arbitration and arbitration-related litigation. Our Projects and Arbitration practices are led by hands-on partners who remain actively involved in each case. We are deeply familiar with international arbitration standards, ensuring that our work meets the highest benchmarks of global practice.
What sets us apart is not only our technical expertise. We are approachable and accessible, we speak the same language as our clients, and we focus on practical solutions that enable projects to be completed.
CAI is a purpose-built partner, agile, well-versed, and committed to the development of infrastructure and dispute resolution in Peru through legal excellence.
Arbitration & ADRs:
At Campos / Arbitraje e Infraestructura (CAI), arbitration is at the core of what we do. Our Arbitration practice combines legal knowledge, sector expertise, and discipline. This enables us to guide clients through the most demanding disputes, with clarity and confidence.
We represent companies and institutions in domestic and international arbitrations, particularly those arising from EPC, construction, and concession contracts. Our expertise in international standardized engineering and construction contracts—including FIDIC and NEC—allows us to address disputes where technical complexity, contractual precision, and strategic foresight are decisive. These cases often involve high financial stakes and issues of public interest. Our strategy-oriented and tactical approach consistently makes the difference.
Our team is deeply familiar with international arbitration standards, ensuring that our work meets the highest benchmarks of global practice. The firm’s partners are highly regarded arbitration practitioners, bringing recognized experience, credibility, and authority to every case.
While widely recognized for our strength in construction arbitration, our practice has expanded naturally into complex commercial disputes across other sectors, where clients rely on the same strategic clarity, rigor, and practical solutions that define our work.
At CAI, arbitration is not just about litigating disputes—it is about strategy, preparation, and execution. We work tirelessly to anticipate challenges, shape the narrative, and secure outcomes that protect our clients’ projects and long-term interests.
Projects:
At Campos / Arbitraje e Infraestructura (CAI), our Projects practice meets the demands of large and complex infrastructure initiatives. We advise on the legal, contractual, and strategic dimensions of projects across all delivery models, including public works, PPPs, concessions, G2G agreements, and “OxI” structures.
With experience in over 450 project interventions and 50,0000 hours of high-level advisory work, we bring a combination of sector knowledge, technical precision, and practical insight that translates into measurable results. Our role is to help clients anticipate risks, optimize opportunities, and move their projects forward with confidence.
We have supported projects in transportation, energy, sanitation, education, and healthcare, always tailoring our advice to the regulatory frameworks, operational challenges, and political contexts that shape each sector
.
What differentiates our practice is our collaborative approach. We do more than draft or review contracts: we work alongside our clients to design legal strategies that are technically sound, commercially viable, and execution-focused—strategies that ensure projects do not stall but move forward with legal clarity and strategic purpose.
The firm advises international clients in highly complex cross-border transactions. The team's work is usually related to major projects under international contract models as FIDIC and NEC or governed by foreign law. Arbitration and ADRs expertise include international proceedings under ICC and UNCITRAL rules.
Clients:
Clients retain the services of the firm to represent them in their various capacities in major infrastructure projects and arbitral proceedings. Among its clients are contractors, owners, project designers, supervisors, investors, developers, concessionaries, financing entities and national and regional governments. The firm’s clients include the most active companies developing projects in Peru. Among them are companies from Peru, Spain, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Italy and Portugal.
