Luisiana Samanamud is an Associate focusing on complex construction and infrastructure disputes. She represents contractors and consortiums in domestic and international arbitration, emergency proceedings, interim measures and disputes before dispute boards.
Her practice covers FIDIC and NEC contracts, public procurement, Government-to-Government projects and Works for Taxes. She advises clients from the first notification of a claim through its presentation before the employer, dispute board and, where necessary, arbitral tribunal.
Luisiana combines legal strategy with a detailed understanding of the technical issues underlying construction claims, working closely with engineering, planning and cost teams to align entitlement, causation and quantum from the outset. She was also part of the official review and Spanish translation team for the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract.
