Alex is the department the co-head together with Rodrigo Urrutia. Alex has more than 25 years of experience.

He has broad experience in local and international arbitration cases. He also specializes in construction disputes related to road infrastructure, energy infrastructure (power plants and power lines), port infrastructure, sports facilities, sanitation facilities, and buildings, among others. Alex is also experienced in commercial disputes.

He has been able to handle complex cases arising from construction contracts and public-private partnership contracts (concessions) regarding time extensions, cost overruns, order variations, stand-by costs, force majeure, disruption, construction acceleration, contract termination, breach of contract, and damages.

He's also an infrastructure project specialist, giving legal advice in all project development stages which complement his arbitration expertise. He has been consistently ranked in the “Dispute Resolution: Arbitration” category since 2008. His experience includes legal advice during direct pre-negotiation and other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, such as Dispute Boards.

Currently, Alex is a registered arbitrator at the arbitration Center of the Lima Chamber of Lima (LCC), the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM), and the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP).
