Intellectual Property.
Vasco is the co-coordinator of the Intellectual Property, Tech and Personal Data Department, as well as co-coordinator of Team Genesis. Vasco has worked in the IP field since 2000, namely in protection strategy and implementation, licensing, assignments, valuation and dispute resolution, frequently assisting in litigation cases involving trademarks, patents, designs, trade secrets and copyright. Vasco is an accredited IP Agent before the national PTO and a registered Professional Representative before the European Union Intelectual Property Office and the Unified Patent Court. He is also a listed arbitrator at ARBITRARE (the Portuguese Intellectual Property Arbitration Centre), member of the board of LES Spain-Portugal and former Chair of the Lex Mundi IP Practice Group (2019-2021). Vasco teaches and writes frequently on matters of intellectual property, both in Portugal and abroad, and has received several awards for his work in the intellectual property field.
