Tom is an established Social Housing specialist who is widely regarded as an incisive, passionate and effective advocate. Tom’s social housing practice includes cases concerning serious anti-social behaviour, challenging disrepair matters and cases involving significant human rights, public law, Equality Act elements. Tom regularly appears in multi-day trials and before the appellant courts. Tom has significant experience in drafting pleadings involving complex factual and legal issues. Tom is particularly noted for his thorough preparation, written arguments and engaging court manner.


Qualifications: LLB (hons) LLM (International Human Rights – Merit) BVC (Very Competent). In 2011, Tom was named Pupil Barrister of The Year at the Birmingham Legal Awards in recognition of his outstanding year as a pupil Barrister. In 2015, Tom was named Leader of the Year in the professional services category at the Black British Business Awards. Tom joined St Ives Chambers in 2009. Tom was called to the Bar in 2008.
