Sushma Jobanputra is Partner-in-Charge of Jones Day’s Singapore Office. With over two decades of experience across London, Toronto, Paris, and Singapore, she advises leading financial institutions, private equity sponsors, and multinational corporates on complex financing transactions across the Asia-Pacific region. Her practice encompasses structured and acquisition finance, cross-border restructuring, and financial regulatory matters, with particular a focus on Singapore, India, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Sushma is recognised for her strategic, commercially focused advice on high-value, multi-jurisdictional transactions. She serves on the Singapore Management University’s Expert Panel on Cross-Border Commercial Law and the National University of Singapore’s Law Advisory Council, reflecting her thought leadership in the field.
