Dan Howard is an energy and resources law specialist. He has over 30 years practicing in energy law and has advised on the development of some of Australia's largest electricity, renewables, gas, and mining projects. Dan regularly advises on energy regulatory issues, energy contracts, and commodity contracts and infrastructure arrangements including gas pipeline transport arrangements, port contracts and rail access and haulage. In addition, Dan has undertaken numerous sales and acquisitions of electricity, gas, mining, and infrastructure businesses.
In the renewable energy industry, Dan advises on renewables projects including wind, solar, hydro generation, BESS and other forms of energy storage. Dan has in-depth knowledge of the electricity industry rules in Australia and help clients across the industry including in each of the core sectors of generation, network, retail and consumers. Dan assists clients to navigate complex electricity compliance, project and trading approvals, carbon reduction projects and reporting and all forms of renewable electricity supply arrangements.
