Career

Ferdinand Brughmans represents local and international lenders, other key financiers, and corporate borrowers in project finance and acquisition finance transactions. His practice is focused on domestic and international projects (primarily related to energy and infrastructure ventures) and leveraged, corporate and acquisition finance. Ferdinand advises banks, financial institutions, private credit providers, direct lenders, institutional lenders, private equity funds and corporate borrowers, and senior and mezzanine debt providers on project finance, PPP, syndicated loan, secured financing, leveraged cross-border acquisition finance, and refinancing transactions. In addition, he has considerable experience in distressed debt situations, restructuring, general banking and finance, M&A, private equity, public offerings, and corporate law. He has worked on numerous financing transactions in Europe, the USA, Asia and the Pacific as well as on international equity and debt offerings and listings. Ferdinand also advises financial institutions and corporations in connection with hostile and friendly public takeover bids and on private equity transactions.
