Shoshana Bacall specialises in the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters and legal issues relating to partnerships, LLPs and their members. Shoshana regularly advises on senior and board level disputes and contentious exits from workplaces and partnership structures across a variety of sectors including legal, financial and other professional services, insurance and private equity. Shoshana has significant experience negotiating enhanced exit terms for partners and senior executives, advising on remuneration structures and deferred compensation. She is frequently instructed on matters concerning compulsory retirement, expulsion and dismissal (including redundancy) and a core part of her practice is bringing and defending discrimination and whistleblowing claims. She is a trusted adviser to employers, firms and individuals on other workplace issues involving restrictive covenants, team moves, changes to terms, bonus disputes and discretionary decision - making. She regularly advises on misconduct investigations, including harassment, involving senior individuals in regulated sectors, working with regulatory and PR specialists where necessary. Shoshana also has experience being appointed as independent external investigator for sensitive confidential investigations.
