Sam specialises in public and private law children cases and is highly experienced in acting for local authorities, parents and guardians at all levels of tribunal.
In his public law work, Sam has a particular interest in cases involving serious injury to children (including cases of child death, serious head injury and FGM), cases of serious sexual abuse and cases involving allegations of fabricated and/or induced illness (FII). Sam's public law practice also includes cases with an international element, including cases involving alleged child trafficking, cases involving radicalisation and cases involving children unlawfully removed from the jurisdiction.
In private law, Sam has particular expertise in acting for children in intractable contact disputes, including cases where one parent alleges parental alienation against the other and cases involving allegations of serious domestic violence and sexual abuse.
