Roger Cooper's practice focuses on complex, high-stakes civil litigation, particularly shareholder, class action and derivative disputes relating to securities, M&A, and corporate governance issues.
Career
Roger leads Cleary’s securities and M&A litigation practice, and is the co-coordinator of Cleary’s U.S civil litigation group. He regularly represents multi-national corporations, their boards, and officers in federal and state courts, including the Delaware Court of Chancery. He has successfully defended clients in many dozens of high-stakes class action and derivative cases, securing significant dismissals, obtaining trial victories, and successfully arguing the appeals. He frequently publishes and speaks on securities and Delaware litigation issues.
Roger is ranked among leading lawyers for securities and M&A litigation by Chambers USA, Legal 500 US, and Benchmark Litigation. He was named 2024 Securities MVP by Law360.
