Rodrigo Borja

Rodrigo Borja is a lawyer specializing in mining and oil, finance, fiduciary law, corporate law, and negotiation.

Rodrigo has provided advice to international companies in the mining and oil sector, for about 14 years, participating in several negotiations and renegotiations of oil and mining contracts, as well as in tendering processes.

He provides advice to mining companies in all phases of their business, from the establishment, through the negotiation and execution of contracts with the State, as well as in all internal areas, as permits, environmental issues, labor, tax, community relations, negotiation with suppliers, regulatory issues, among others. Rodrigo has provided legal advice in negotiation processes for the acquisition of land, easements, and expropriation of land, required for both oil and mining infrastructure.

Rodrigo has extensive experience in negotiations, project financing, corporate law, fiduciary business and in general, provides corporate legal advice.

He has worked as an in-house lawyer for important oil and mining companies operating in the country.

He was part of several committees and chambers such as the Association of the Hydrocarbon Industry of Ecuador, Chamber of Mining, Responsible Mining Council, contributing to the elaboration of regulations, policies, legal reforms, etc.
