Daniela Guarderas has over 12 years of experience in arbitration, litigation, administrative law, and dispute resolution. She also serves as Secretary to arbitral tribunals at the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Quito Chamber of Commerce, arbitrator at the Arbitration Center of the Belgium-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Peru, and member of the Ethics Commission of the Ecuadorian Football Federation.
Her practice focuses on domestic and international arbitration, administrative and energy law, and complex commercial disputes. Daniela has represented both public and private sector clients in high-profile matters involving infrastructure, energy, hydrocarbons, mining, and foreign investment. Her experience also includes advising multinational companies in the oil and mining sectors on regulatory compliance, contractual matters, operational permitting, and disputes involving public authorities.
Before entering private practice, Daniela was part of the International Affairs and Arbitration Directorate of the Office of the Attorney General of Ecuador, where she participated in the defense of the Ecuadorian State in commercial and investment arbitrations.
Daniela is actively involved in the development of the arbitration community in Latin America and frequently participates as a speaker, moderator, and arbitrator in international conferences, seminars, and moot court competitions.
She is a founding member of the Ecuadorian Very Young Arbitration Practitioners (ECUVYAP), former member of the Young Practitioners Committee of the Ecuadorian Institute of Arbitration, and was former Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Ecuadorian Institute of Procedural Law.
